Frequently asked questions

Where can I find Pokémon card prices?
War Room is a free Pokémon TCG price tracker covering 20,000+ cards across 172 sets. Search any card by name or browse by set to see the current ungraded ask, PSA-graded prices (7 through 10), recent sold comps, and grading ROI calculations. No signup required to view prices.
How are Pokémon prices calculated?
Ungraded prices come from TCGplayer market data. PSA-graded prices (7/8/9/9.5/10) come from PriceCharting's per-card aggregation of recent eBay sold listings. Outliers more than 2 standard deviations from the median are excluded. Full details on the methodology page.
How often are prices updated?
PSA-graded prices refresh weekly (Sundays at 02:00 UTC, a full crawl of all 27,000+ priceable cards). Ungraded TCGplayer market data refreshes daily as part of the catalog sync. Live eBay comp lookups are available on-demand via the Price Check tool on the homepage.
Are War Room prices accurate?
Prices reflect the same data sources major Pokémon pricing tools use — PriceCharting, TCGplayer, and eBay sold listings. War Room adds aggregation, after-fees calculations, grading ROI math, and arbitrage signals on top. We're transparent about known limitations: roughly half of cards have no PSA pop data (mostly promo sets where PriceCharting doesn't track per-card pop), and the weekly refresh means displayed prices can be up to 7 days stale.
What's the difference between ungraded and PSA-graded prices?
Ungraded (raw) prices are what a Near-Mint condition card sells for on the open market without third-party authentication. PSA-graded prices reflect cards in a sealed PSA slab at a specific grade — PSA 10 (Gem Mint) commands the highest premium, often 5–50x the ungraded value for vintage cards. The grading ROI calculator on every card page estimates whether grading is worth the $25 PSA fee.
