Frequently asked questions

How do I look up a Pokémon card's price?
Three ways: (1) use the Price Check tool on the homepage — type or scan any card and get its current market value instantly; (2) browse to /set/{set_id}/ to see every card in a set with prices side-by-side; (3) navigate directly to /card/{set_id}/{number}/ if you know the exact card. All three are free and require no signup.
Can I search Pokémon card prices by card name?
Yes. The Price Check tool on the homepage matches against the full 20,000+ card catalog by name, with set + number disambiguation when multiple printings exist. For broader exploration, the per-set pages (e.g. /set/base1/ for Base Set) list every card alphabetically.
Do you have prices for sealed Pokémon products?
Yes. Beyond the 20,000+ singles, War Room tracks 46,000+ sealed product SKUs across booster boxes, ETBs, blisters, tins, and special collections. Pricing is sourced from Pokémon Center, Target, Walmart, Best Buy, and TCGplayer — the same retailers we monitor for restocks.
Why is my card's price different from TCGplayer?
TCGplayer market price is a single number per card (their internal median of recent TCGplayer marketplace sales). War Room shows the same TCGplayer market price PLUS PSA-graded prices, eBay sold comps, and a price range — different sources will always show slightly different numbers because they're sampling different marketplaces. Our methodology page explains which source we use for which price tier.
Can I track the value of my collection?
Yes — once you join the waitlist, you get a personal collection page with portfolio tracking, daily value snapshots, grading ROI per card, and price alerts when comps move significantly. The free public price-lookup tool doesn't require an account.
